Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Flight Globe app and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What Flight Globe is

Flight Globe is a personal flight journal. It lets you record flights, draw them on a 3D globe, track the countries you have visited and view travel statistics. The app works offline and stores your data on your own device.

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

4. Purchases

Flight Globe may offer an optional "Pro" upgrade as a one-time purchase. The price is not yet final and will be announced at launch; where shown, prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store are processed by that store and are also subject to its terms, including its refund rules. Store purchases are tied to the store account used for the transaction.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
• interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or the devices of others;
• use the device-to-device transfer feature to access data you are not entitled to;
• use the name, logo or branding of Flight Globe without our prior written permission.

6. Your content

All content you create in the app — flights, visited countries, photos, notes and backups — remains yours. We claim no ownership over it and, because we hold no copy of it, we cannot access, recover or restore it for you. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

7. Third-party platforms and services

The app is distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store, and this website loads fonts and libraries from third-party providers. Your use of those platforms and services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Flight Globe is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google or Apple.

8. Availability and changes to the Service

We may add, change or remove features at any time, and an early or "in development" build may be incomplete or contain errors. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will run on every device.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of the bundled airport, country or distance data. Statistics and routes are provided for personal interest only and must not be relied upon for navigation, aviation or any safety-critical purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the app gains new features. The current version is always available on this page, with the revision date shown at the top. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside.
